49-1. Extraordinary Mermod Freres with 24 1/2" Cylinders. This is the  largest and the rarest of the very finest maker of interchangeable cylinder music boxes. You cannot get any better, or much rarer. We know of only about six of these huge Mermod Freres music boxes extant. We have had one in our collection for many years (purchased from Rita Ford Music Boxes, Rita had purchased it many years before from Lloyd Kelley) which we would never sell. We are extremely fortunate to have found another. This one is in a carved oak case (no table) with a drawer to hold the extra cylinders (there are four of these massive cylinders in total). The arrangements are extraordinary, the sound will be the best in the world once it is gone over. When we purchased it it had three broken teeth and three broken tips (probably due to the difficulty of handling the massively heavy cylinders) and we are having these repaired and the necessary dampers repaired. Case could use a good cleaning and polishing, possibly a refinishing. A rare opportunity to acquire a truly monumental and extraordinary music box, a museum piece.

49-2. Keywind 4-Tune Fat Cylinder Music Box. What an exceptional time when  we can acquire the 24 1/2" Mermod Freres and this wonderful fat cylinder keywind music box. This one has a cylinder that is 10 3/4" by about 3 1/8". Four tunes. Two broken teeth, very fine comb. No key, and we have not been able to play this yet. But the comb looks excellent and we have heard a bit of it manually, it should be exceptional. Very pretty case with inlaid lid.

49-3. Large Nicole Freres Interchangeable Cylinder Organ Box. This is a large and impressive late style Nicole Freres music box with 22-note organ and 16 1/4" cylinder. Regrettably, there is only one cylinder with it. Fine condition except organ, as usual, is not working - will need bellows repair.

49-4. Watling Rol-A-Top Bird-Of-Paradise Slot Machine. This is possibly the most desirable of all the 1930's slot machines, extremely colorful, restored. However this one looks to have a lot of new parts in it, and may even be a reproduction. You need to see this before you buy it. It sure looks impressive.

49-5. Watling Treasury Slot Machine. As with the Rol-a-top, this Watling Treasury is beautifully restored (although at the moment the mechanism is jammed). The Treasury is also extremely desirable, perhaps more so than the Rol-a-top. However this one also appears to have a lot of reproduction parts, so you need to see it before you buy it.  Or a package deal for the two, the Rol-a-top and the Treasury at  for the pair.
Sold 49-6. "Home Music Box" Model of Gem Roller Organ. While this was undoubtedly made by the same people that made the Gem Roller Organ, it has a more decorative and elaborate case. Unrestored, with six cobs.

49-7. Oak Regina 15 1/2" Double Comb. This Regina long bedplate double comb needs a little work - there is a broken tooth, part of the coin linkage is missing, and one inner board is missing. However it does play and will be very nice when restored. A good and very popular model with the coin operation.
Sold 49-8. "Original" Seeburg KT Special. As opposed to the Edgerton reproduction listed elsewhere, this machine started out as an original Seeburg KT Special, which is probably the most popular off all the Seeburgs, and the best of the cabinet style Seeburgs. However somewhere this machine must have run into some problems, because now a lot of the mechanical parts have been expertly replaced. It is not something you would probably notice, and it plays up a storm just like it should, but there are a number of replacement parts and some case work. However it all looks and sounds beautiful and is ready to go into your living room (we had it gone over to make sure it was playing well). A real bargain at

49-9. Rare Englehardt Nickelodeon With Pipes. Very pretty coin piano with lovely art glass, mission style cabinet, and rank of pipes and mandoline rail. All original except some work has been done over the years including the pump having been rebuilt very recently. This is a very rare machine, we have only had one other Englehardt (a cabinet style), this is the only keyboard style we have had.

49-10. Rare Lochmann 17" Table Model With Bells. This model Lochmann, a 17" disc with saucer bells, is much scarcer than the upright 24 1/2" models (not to suggest that it sounds as good). This one is in lovely restored condition, however it clearly has not been reassembled and adjusted properly, as the  bells are not striking and the music box should sound better. We will probably get this playing right next month, priced reasonably at
