107-13 Regina Mission Style Chime Clock. Oak, very fine original condition, mechanically reconditioned. A wonderful example of a Regina chime clock in this very popular furniture style. Bowers page 211.

111-1 Regina 15 1/2" Disk Autochanger in Mahogany. Beautiful curved front Style 35/36 Regina autochanger. This is complete with original crown and was probably restored 10-20 years ago. This is the later style mechanism with the lifting arms rather than the lifting straps (which are more troublesome). Both coin-operated and manually operated, both of which look very original. Plays well, sounds fine. A very good example of an extremely popular Regina model. With 12 disks

126-17. Extraordinary Carved Cylinder Base Cabinet. This cabinet is heavily carved all over - front, sides, interior. Very similar to the style used by Mermod Freres with its 20 1/2" interchangeables. It's arguable whether this cabinet is old or a reproduction, but if it is the latter it would have been very expensive to make. Has interior drawers for holding cylinders, should take up to the 20 1/2" size.Reduced to

17-10. Paneled Storage Cabinet for 27" Regina Discs. Originally came with an automatic changer, holds discs upright, only one I have ever seen like this. Mahogany. Very rare.

38-5C. Musical Twirling Marotte with Bisque Head. This is a very nice example of a scarce type of "toy" - undoubtedly because the slightest accident would mean that the delicate bisque head would be destroyed. This one has been in our collection for a long time. Needs to have the hairpiece glued back on.

(Click on picture for enlarged detail of both Marottes)

106-4. Rare Imperator 4-Comb With Bells. These Imperator music boxes are very rare, we have been lucky to have three of them over the years. These have four full combs (in fact they have 12 combs because each comb is made up of three parts), like the top of the line New Century, with the difference being that these also have bells. I know of no other 4-comb music box style with bells. Another very interesting thing is that the combs are attached from underneath, so you don't see comb screws - similar to the Libellion, which was made by Richter, who also made the Imperator. This one has been refinished and cleaned just enough to get it playing reasonably well. It will need a normal restoration, and it has early felt dampers which will have to be addressed since it is quite squeaky at this point. Wonderful very full rich sound. No base cabinet or pediment. With about 10 discs, with some new ones available in London.

We have recently found a beautiful old base cabinet that we are going to include with the Imperator because they look so well together, even though this is not an original disc cabinet but rather an old stand of some sort and will not hold discs.

18-3. North Tonawanda Military Band Organ Style 173. See Bower's page 910 for a picture of this really neat band organ, similar to a Wurlitzer 150 only with drums and cymbal on top. This has more brass pipes and musical capability than the Wurlitzer 125. Has been mechanically restored and converted to a Wurlitzer 150 roll frame (fromt he original endless roll) which means there is a tremendous variety of recut rolls available. A very strong, very popular band organ.

77-3. Large Interchangeable Organ Box with Nine Cylinders. Nine l7" cylinders, 24 note organ. Organ mechanism recently restored, two teeth replaced. Plays very well. Complete with tune sheet (mostly classical) and matching table with two drawers to hold cylinders. These large, high quality interchangeable cylinder boxes have always been very desirable, but in recent years they have also become very difficult to buy.

77-4. Stella 17 1/4" Double Comb. Very nice Stella table model in mahogany case with
decorative carving on front and drawer in bottom to hold discs. Several teeth replaced. Plays
very well.

26-2. Regina 11" Double Comb Upright in Early Case. This beautiful and early upright Regina has now been fully restored. This is a gorgeous oak coin-operated machine with a double comb mechanism. You don't get any prettier than this in a small Regina, and it has lots of sound from the double comb mechanism. Great piece.
