49-7. Pierre Eich Solophone Orchestrion. This large and impressive instrument is pictured in the Bowers Encyclopedia on page 395, the bottom left photo, the instrument on the right (that the fellow has his hand on). This exceptional orchestrion has 102 pipes including Violin, Cello, Oboe, Clarinet and Saxophone. It also has a tremolo effect. Perhaps equally important, it has an unexcelled original library of 36 rolls. This is one instrument that you will want to sit and listen to for hours. Restored a number of years ago, it is now playing weakly, perhaps due to the unusual weather conditions where it is coming from in California (see - didn't think we could blame something on El Nino did you?). A very fine addition to any collection, and one of only a handful in the States.
Sold

We have just purchased this and should have it by mid- January. We understand it was working well 10 years ago but probably needs some rework now. Natural oak finish. Takes the popular 148 rolls. Tentatively priced at    (Click on picture for enlarged details)   38-8. 10-Tune Cylinder Music Box with 13" Cylinder. Nice original condition, missing a little veneer in the central design on the top, and needing cleaning and damper work. Complete with original tune sheet.

38-9. Reginaphone Console Style 240 with Carved Dragonheads. We are usually lucky to have one of these on hand, currently we have two.  This one is all original except it has been refinished (should have deeper finish and polishing). Great bright inner lid design, sounds great.  Phonograph parts all original.

77-6. Early Orchestral Cylinder Box. Lovely and very early orchestral box with woodblock. Cut corner case and interior fretwork very similar to Bremond. Case has extensive metal inlays on top and front (one section missing on top). 16" cylinder. From the Miles Museum.
Sold
77-7. Early Capital Cuff Box Early Style "A". All of the Capitol Cuff Boxes are very scarce, having been made for only a short period by the F.G. Otto Company. This style, which is the earliest of models made, is the scarcest and most decorative mechanically. Has the unusual coil spring drive with a very decorative tri-corner casting. This is currently being restored, and should be exceptionally nice when done. With six cuffs.
Sold
17-5. Cylinder Music Box. This is a pretty 10-tune box but needs tuning or regulation or both. Looks very nice. 13" cylinder.
